Gaelic Video/TV/Audio

3ZZZ Scottish Gaelic radio programme. Choose 'Scottish' and you get streaming radio in Real Audio format. A new programme is put on the web each week from the 11pm-midnight Monday night broadcasts on 92.3 FM in Melbourne. It is not available on air in other states, but available on the Internet instead. Each programme is one hour long.

There is a second hour containing Gaelic and Celtic stories and myths. You can hear it by selecting 'Scottish Youth' on the 3ZZZ homepage menu.

BBC ALBA A voice in the wilderness. As you can tell, this is my absolute favourite site as a learner. Download Real Player and listen to live radio to your heart's content. Visit the site, check out the Clar nam Program for program times. You'll need to adjust for time zones - Australian Eastern Summer time is II hours head, during winter it is 9 hours ahead. You've got to listen to Moraig - she's an absolute dag! Ciamar a chanais mi "dag" anns a'Ghaidhlig? The news is especially good, as the bulletins are published online every day and you can also listen to the sound files - great for learning as well as keeping up to date with current affairs. You really have to spend a lot of time on this site. In fact, make it your home page (www.bbc.co.uk/alba) so that every time you log on, the site gets a hit - let's pump up the numbers to impress the funding bodies!

GaelSong Radio  Scottish Gaelic music and song at its best! Always fresh, always refreshing. The ancient and the modern. Energetic, soulful, magical, mystical, wrenching, uplifting.

Scottish Internet Radio An absolute must! This site is a favourite of the webmaster. Make sure that you follow all of the instructions, and before you know it, you'll be listening to lots of great information - even some in Gaidhlig!

SLAINTE - Gateway to Scottish Authors A good start to find some authors. Some of the best young writers in Scotland are writing in Gaelic now.

Ceolas celtic music archive is somewhere to check out music.

Pròiseact nan Sgeulachdan - A Gaelic Storytelling Project aiming to regenerate, develop and promote Scottish Gaelic storytelling with particular reference to the Western Isles. Music

The Official Royal National Mod Website tells you when the next Mod is. If you don't know what a Mod is, well then you're just going to have to click on this to find out.

The Australian Gaelic Singers perform regularly at various Scottish events in Sydney, under the talented leadership of Bran MacEachaidh. They have also competed with great success at the National Mod in Scotland.
